Evening all.

Yet again an Agency has proved themselves to be utterly crap no practical help at all. One put my CV forward for a job that I could do and had previous experience in. Got an email saying "sorry, you were not successful" So I replied to ask why (esp. as I met the criteria) and asking for feedback as to why I hadn't even got an interview!

The reply I got? "Our clients don't always give us feedback" !! Um, duh, have you tried asking them?

Aaaanyway, a short while ago I decided to get a bit proactive, and emailed some local companies "on spec" One actually replied shock I had used the "contact us" section on their website, and offered to send them a CV, as I couldn't attach it.

A couple of days later, yes, they would be happy to take a look. So I sent it along with a begging letter an offer to go to see them if they were interested. A week went by with no contact, then an email inviting me to "pop in" for a "chat"

So, I slapped a colour on my hair, dug out the hair removal cream blush and sallied forth. Nice chap, long chat. Some mumbling about how they had been meaning to look at upping their game marketing wise, but hadn't actually planned to do anything in the short term, but he would have a think.

Another week goes by. I thought, sod it, I'll email again to see if he has actually had any further thoughts. Got a reply, can I come in for another "chat". Well, I thought I may as well, especially as he had offered me a biscuit with my coffee last time.

The upshot of these ramblings is............... I START NEXT MONDAY!!!!
