Hard to know on a web site if someone is genuine or not. You mention you are christian minded, and so I am wondering if u you are connected to a church or some group, other than yourself that could vouch for you, such as a previous church you have been a member at, or may be a registered charity that people could check with. I think you will understand why people are being careful, and rightly so. I have previously offered to try and help people, and was very genuine, yet people's concern about who I was stopped people contacting me. One think I was told either by the police or social services is provide a lane line number and a home address as this can provide some reasurance that if there is a problem you can be traced. Anyone can have a mobile and a land line. Sadly into days world we have to be very careful about giving out names of vunerable people to people we do not know and careful about inviting people into our homes that we don't know.

Until GNHQ gets around to deleting your 'many' messages I will tell you that you are mistaken if you think GN posters are fooled by a person that is willing to self promote themselves as you have done on a thread where a poster has lost her parent.

If your post is by any chance connected to a genuine group then all I can say is you are doing the cause no favours, if as I suspect it is not, you are merely an irritant.

We need your help!

Alzheimer's Society has been chosen as one of six UK charities to be supported by ITV's Text Santa fundraising appeal.

Text Santa will enable approximately 1800 people with dementia to receive essential one-to-one advice from our Dementia Support Workers.

Text Santa partner Morrisons are offering Alzheimer's Society the chance to fundraise across all their stores with charity bag-packing. We need your help to raise much needed funds this Christmas by offering your bag-packing services to Morrisons customers in return for donations towards the Text Santa appeal.

Bag-packing activities will take place in Morrisons stores (excluding Morrisons M Local stores) across England, Scotland and Wales on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th December. Bag-packing time slots available are 9.00am–11.30am and 11.30am–2.00pm on both days.

You can sign up to volunteer here.

You will be allocated a Morrisons store based on your address, and this will be confirmed following your application along with your slot date and time, based on availability. You also have the option to state your preferred store and we will do our best to accommodate this.

If you have any questions please do contact the team at [email protected].
