I live in the UK but have a granddaughter in the USA, and would be interested in connecting with similar people.

I have a young grandson who was born and lives in Gibraltar he will be 2 in June, I only get to see him twice a year which is hard as my son isn't good with keeping in touch in between visits. I hope you manage to contact your granddaughter often.

susiytish If you go to the Forums, and put 'Long Distance Grandparents' into the search engine, you'll find quite a few threads and blogs discussing this. Lots of tips and ideas about how to bridge the gap.

My 3 grandchildren live abroad, with 2 in the USA.

Get up to speed on the marvellous technology that's available to us these days. I find it certainly helps to keep me in the grand children's orbit, so to speak.

Good luck. sunshine

I have two Grandchildren who live in Australia. We are lucky enough to be able to visit them for several weeks each year which is wonderful. We have a weekly FaceTime chat with them to keep in touch. Technology isn't the same but it really does help.
