I work for a charity in Derby called Turning Point and we are looking for people who need a job and are looking for something rewarding. Please note this is paid work and not volunteering and is paid above minimum wage.
We support adults with learning disabilties in their own homes, its not community care so theres no driving between clients. It simply helping people who need support to clean, cook , go out and in some cases support with personal care in their own homes. All houses are within the city boundaries.
Maybe youre a Mum ready to go back to work or the kids have left and you need something to focus on for yourself, maybe you just need a change? Men are especially welcome as males are unrepresented in the social care field!
Experience is great but not necessary as we provide all training ( which we pay you to attend) We need people who believe that everyone has a value and deserve to have a quality of life and can make a difference in someones life. There is no nursing care involved these are simply adults who face challenges everyday and need support to do so.
We support 24/7 so a variety of shift patterns are available
