I would like to introduce myself – I am Keelan Early and my role at Claire House Children’s Hospice is the Volunteer Services Coordinator. I am responsible for the recruitment and support of volunteers throughout our organisation, including our 25 shops throughout the area.
Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full by creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. We support over 250 families from across Merseyside, Cheshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
Claire House could not survive without the work of our volunteers and we are committed to maximising the involvement of volunteers across all departments and services. Volunteers play a unique role within the organisation bringing their skills and experience to enhance and support the work of Claire House employees. Our community of volunteers are vital in delivering the vision of Claire House; to be there for every child with a life limiting or life threatening condition, and their families, making sure they can get the very best support when and where they need it.
Currently, we have vacancies in housekeeping, reception/admin, driving for our care team, retail, catering, at our many fundraising events, etc. We also have some ‘child and family facing’ roles (in house activities (play), counselling, complementary therapies) which carry special requirements and have recruitment ‘seasons’ which I can explain a bit more about if that’s what you’d like to get involved with.
For more information, please feel free to email me on [email protected] or give me a call on 0151 541 7535.
Thank you for reading.
