And should it be used for every type of company?

Made me feel uncomfortable seeing old posts by Phoenix.

Reported.
Clever though. First Someone to reopen an old thread and then the invitation by someone else to click on the link.

Customer Relationship Management is vital for any business that wants to keep its customers coming back for more. Surely that’s common sense? Workforce Relationship Management is also important, but all too often neglected.

It seems to me that this is not very important.

Sunseeker when both of those platforms were maybe not in their infancy, but definitely hadn't reached senior school, I would often refer to them in exactly that way, particularly during business meetings when we were discussing ways to use them.

(Just found it easier to combine the two!)

I saw that someone online suggested a merger between Facebook and Twitter - to be called Twitface!!

Thank you Situpstraight, it doesn't do to rush these things.

For example, my first (rather hasty) thought was that we might call the new stores "Widdles", but perhaps that's what comes from not thinking things through properly.

Situpstraight Wed 02-May-18 20:41:45

Sorry phoenix I thought a triple merger would give you something to get your teeth into! I guess you might need a week to recuperate after the S & A merger.....

phoenix Wed 02-May-18 18:54:15

Now then Situpstraight, are you muddling up your budget supermarkets? Re-reading your post, it looks as if you are asking for a triple merger, Waitrose, Aldi & Lidl!

BTW Lidl ribeye steak, at around £5.50 for 2 good sized ones, has been our Saturday night staple for yonks, absolutely delicious, not had a duff one yet. And their Cava at £4.99 is very palatable!

Very rarely use Waitrose these days, my weekly shop is pretty much divided between Morrisons and Lidl, as they are both in Bideford. Nearest town only has Waitrose and a very small Co-Op.

Or Carrots reverse Myopia?

mumofmadboys Wed 02-May-18 17:45:29

Carrots regularise motions?? Sorry!

Phoenix now that you have successfully managed the merger with Asda and Sainsburys.
We have a local Waitrose and just across the road is an Aldi, now, at the moment, I have to buy food in Waitrose and then nip accross to Lidl to buy cleaning products, how handy would it be if they could merge?
If I could leave that with you to organise, I would know that we were in safe hands. Personally I think the merger would be a meeting of minds! ?

phoenix were you singing 'We're in the Money' all that while?

As this is a forum for grannies and grandpas how about:

Phoenix grin

phoenix Wed 02-May-18 12:43:46

It was a bit of a nuisance really, because I was half way through my Customs Union proposal for Brexit.

SpanielNanny Wed 02-May-18 12:39:38

Bravo phoenix Gransnet is lucky to have such a brilliant business mind grin

phoenix Wed 02-May-18 12:09:29

Well of course we are the ideal target for him! Here we are, tech savvy and no doubt most of us running very successful businesses.

Not wishing to brag, but (ahem) who do you think was behind the recent merger negotiations between Asda & Sainsburys?

YES!! it was me! I popped out to pick up a loaf of milk and a pint of bread (sic) and thought "How inconvenient it is, having to go to different places for certain own brand products?"

So, quick as a flash, I ran off a draft merger proposal document, sent it to both CEO's & MD's (just to be on the safe side) and before you could say "pass my cardy, there's a draft in here" the phone rang.

"Oh Phoenix" they said, please could you pop round at your earliest convenience and help us with this, because we're pretty sure we might need to consult with the Monopolies and Mergers people, and we can't do it without you".

So, pausing only to throw a casserole in the slow cooker and leave a note for Mr P off I went.

The rest, of course, you know.

Curious Regarding Motives!!!

SpanielNanny Wed 02-May-18 10:58:20

I am rather disappointed that it appears he won’t be coming back! I am very curious to find out exactly what he was hoping to achieve.

Eglantine21 Wed 02-May-18 10:52:49

Not doing well with these customers is he?

Thanks for the explanation but I was having fun thinking of what CRM could stand for and how important they could be for businesses.
