Ingredients

200g wholemeal breadcrumbs
50 g butter
100 g bacon
100g chestnuts (cooked, fresh or packet)
400g tin chestnut puree
1 egg
Lemon zest
Seasoning.

Handy Hint

You can store in a foil dish in freezer then straight to oven when ready.

Method

1. Cut bacon into small pieces and fry in some of the butter.
2. Mix all the other ingredients in a large bowl, then add bacon. 3. Press into a shallow baking tin, and cook 1 hour at 190C/Gas 5.
