Ingredients

4 lean pork chops
25g butter
1 onion (sliced)
25g flour
150ml cider
1 large apple
1 clove garlic (chopped)
2 tbsp cream
Chopped herbs

Method

1. Season flour with salt and pepper. Coat pork chops with flour.
2. Heat butter in a pan. Brown the chops on both sides. Add in garlic and onions. Fry for 1 minute. Stir in cider. Transfer into a rectangular oven dish. Bake in Gas5/190C for 30-40 minutes til the sauce thickens.
3. Peel, core and cut apple into segments. Remove the pork from the oven. Add in apples and cream. Put back into the oven and bake for further 15 minutes. Garnish with chopped herbs and serve.

Pork always go well with apple. This pork recipe is exceptionally good because of the cider and the cream in it.
