AIBU to think I can't hack the next eight months or however long it is

Anne58 Mon 03-Dec-12 16:46:23

Nope, not in the slightest, it will be media overload for sure!

jO5 Mon 03-Dec-12 16:46:51

I can! smile

Every last little bit of it.

bluebell Mon 03-Dec-12 16:50:19

Well let's see how we'll the press behave now - as I type I expect certain tabloids are bidding for the first scan pictures!

Learnergran Mon 03-Dec-12 16:52:50

When my daughter was taken in with acute sickness it was TWINS!! That would be nice smile

Barrow Mon 03-Dec-12 16:55:11

She is apparently 3 months pregnant so its only 6 months you have to put up with. I'm just very pleased for them both and if it is twins so much the better!

MiceElf Mon 03-Dec-12 17:03:26

A June baby. Lovely. And she won't have to fret about the little one being a summer born and consequently a little disadvantaged in a large infant class.
I hope it's a girl anyway, as the nation can then look forward to a Queen again.

Mishap Mon 03-Dec-12 17:03:35

I just hope they leave the poor girl alone a bit. You can almost hear the tabloids speculating about her weight and how much she will put on and how long it takes her to lose it.

There's nothing that makes you feel quite so grim as severe morning sickness - poor lass.

annodomini Mon 03-Dec-12 17:10:03

Please - please keep all the gushing to a single thread that some of us will wish to avoid. Not that I wish the poor girl ill, but really, it will all get too much.

crimson Mon 03-Dec-12 17:15:22

Is it usual to suddenly get morning sickness at 3 months? Hope everything's ok. Feel quite emotional about it smile.

jO5 Mon 03-Dec-12 17:18:52

Oh, look at this smile

jO5 Mon 03-Dec-12 17:19:07

Sorry. Wrong thread. grin

vampirequeen Mon 03-Dec-12 17:31:50

Oh dear ....yes please keep it to one thread if you can.

bluebell Mon 03-Dec-12 17:35:06

Oh yes yes yes that's why I started this one - only Republicans allowed to post here and Barrow six months is still six months too long!!

vampirequeen Mon 03-Dec-12 17:38:56

Thank goodness I can say what I feel now I know this is def the Republican thread.

Another parasite to keep and twins.....two parasites.

Lilygran Mon 03-Dec-12 18:03:34

Lighten up, VQ sunshine

crimson Mon 03-Dec-12 18:09:42

Well, I'm a bit of a Republican [but I'm still feeling a bit emotional confused]...

vampirequeen Mon 03-Dec-12 20:30:23

I have no problem with them having a baby or two but I don't want to pay for another generation. They have far more money than me and are quite capable of paying for themselves.

Anne58 Mon 03-Dec-12 22:16:49

I thought that she was less than 12 weeks?

bluebell Mon 03-Dec-12 22:23:16

It's much more important than the issue of keeping them -how can anyone defend the hereditary principle ? How can we live in a democracy where Charles is allowed to interfere in the Government's business and his letters are kept secret? How very fortunate K&W are that they won't be affected by cuts in tax credits or have to move out of a house that is too big or expensive for them with housing benefit cuts bite and families will be forced to move away from their roots . Oh the kant ( or is it cant?) I am not going to be able escape - I'm having a week w/ o alcohol but goodness - I came close to cracking tonight!!

bluebell Mon 03-Dec-12 22:24:55

Crimson - you can't be a 'bit' of a Republican !!!

Ana Mon 03-Dec-12 22:26:50

Well, all the news reports say three months. Not that it makes much difference, as a normal pregnancy is 40 weeks anyway.

jO5 Mon 03-Dec-12 22:33:33

"I have no problem with them having a baby or two"

They'll be glad to know that VQ. smile

gracesmum Mon 03-Dec-12 22:54:26

I am very pleased for them, as I would be for any wanted pregnancy, but also sorry for them having to go through a first pregnancy so much in the public eye. Kate will be scrutinised at every opportunity for signs of the "bump", shadows uder her eyes, is she thinner because of the morning sickness, etc etc. Just hope it all goes smoothly for them.

MaggieP Mon 03-Dec-12 23:56:57

Hyperemesis is usually in the first few weeks of pregnancy, after 12 or 13 weeks things can greatly improve but it can return every so often.
