And some of us who do have grandchildren don't get to see them.

Welcome to the site, pull up a chair (emergency ones in the corner, over there) get your brew and settle down for some interesting conversation. Just remember your tin hat! grin

I have a GD but to be honest I hardly talk about my Family on here, I am always very cautious about that kind of thing( No offence to anyone), but there are lots of interesting topics, and funny stories to join in with other than talking about Family, unless you want to of course.
TBH I am longing to post some pics of DGD because of course she is the most beautiful , talented etc etc Child on the planetgrin, but for the same reason as above I just wont do it.

Got my Dog on here though :-)

I think anybody is welcome on here aren't they. It mostly appeals to older people but some younger people also post now and then.

Whether a person has children or not has no bearing at all on whether they can chat about a variety of topics.

Welcome wildrose - hope you enjoy it.

I've got 3 grandsons but we talk about loads of stuff here that has nothing to do with being grandparents. Just come and join in smile

Hello there

Of course you can join in! There are lots of Gransnetters who don't have grandchildren - there are also some who don't even have children. Everybody welcome smile. It's not as if we do nothing but talk about our grandchildren, or the ups and downs of grandparenting generally. In fact, such discussions are only a small part of GN.
So welcome to GN and I hope you enjoy it here smile

Just that really. I have 3 dc and 3 dsc but no grandchildren. I always see discussions through mumsnet and they're really interesting and wanted to join.
