The silly things we say!

I had an appointment with the doctor this morning. The conversation started with:
Doctor - Good morning. How are you?
Me - fine, thanks.

After I said it, I thought that was a ridiculous answer. Obviously I wouldn't be at the dctors, if I was fine! As it happens, it was only to renew a repeat prescription, but that's not the point.

Does anyone else say silly things like that? blush

Yes! But at the doc's I've trained myself to say something like well, I'm chugging along as usual, but....

Cutting my toenails (I do pick up the clippings btw) and remarking, "Oh dear, I think I'm going to have an ingrowing toenail on my hands".
