A site I often look at,{ I love India} is www.thedelhiwalla.com/2018/04/19/mission-delhi-peshkar-varma-connaught-place/

The subjects change daily and no, the folk shown are not looking for charity donations ].

The fellow today lives by using a weighting bathroom scales and charging in our money about 4p a pop.

That keeps him fed as the article says with rice.

I got so angry when I read about the shenanigans in Haiti.

All these NGOS ride around in 4x4s with a driver and live in a/c houses, with fancy salaries and pensions, whereas the poor of any third world country [and sorry India in not third world if it has nuclear capacity], just accept their lot.

I don't feel at all privileged to live in UK, that was my lot in life.

I don't give to charities here will but give rupees to the very poor.

Interesting looking blog. I’ve been to India many times and often been impressed by how people make a living- eg cleaning out ears with terrifying-looking tools!
