I know it's daft, but...

...today in M&S I bought a 6 pack of trailing lobelia - not because I was looking for plants today, but because at least one of them was in dire need of water and I wanted to save it! And it's far from the first time.

Is anyone else as daft, or am I the only member of the Non-Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Plants?

Mind you dds are probably as bad - more than once we had to buy a rather sad and wonky-looking Christmas tree, because they were afraid nobody else would want it and it'd be left there all forlorn and unloved.
I suppose there is no help for us.
(The lobelias are perking up nicely, BTW)

Have you watered it now and is it thriving?

Mmmmmmmm well there`s always one and the first so all I can say Witzend...........good on you and may your caring for the underdog in the plant world bring you much joy and a lovely garden to boot!!!

At home I find whenever I am poorly my wide range of indoor plants seem to take on a sicky! Immediately I am back well they perk up and flower their socks off.

Perhaps the answer is to have you move in here.....permanently........ and then my plants will never again be left "sick!!"

What is more, you deserve a bonus from M & S for taking pity and bringing home their droopy plants!!!!
