A very late good morning, it is sunny and dry here.
Awake all night with pains so have just had a nap.
DH had to get up early as the plumber was coming to service the boiler.
Antiquarian monthly talk tonight, not sure whether I am up to a lecture about health in Victorian times.

Morning all from South Notts, pale sky here, yesterday we had sunshine!
Have been a little industrious (unusual) and have got a very clean bathroom. Will do another room another day.
Expect a visit from sister later this morning.
The last day of steroids after the dental stuff, two more days of antibiotics, then hopefully back to normal - though I'm not sure what that is any more.
Hope all is well with everyone.

Good morning from east London, bright at the moment but don’t fancy what’s forecast. Feeling slightly sorry for myself as managed to trip over yesterday chasing down a tennis ball and now have strips over my cut eyebrow and various grazed bits. (But nobody noticed if I won the point). Thankful it’s nothing major but I’ve been advised to be sensible and stay off the courts for a week and not to wash my hair so the strips stay dry. DP has offered to show me where the hoover and duster are as I’ll have plenty of spare time now.... School pick up later then rehearsal in Stratford this evening for the massed choir event next week. Have a good day.

Oh I loved the description of your two poppets Esther1 how cute!

Morning All. Lovely sunshine in South Notts. The roses smell wonderful, despite being bedraggled and bruised.

Have a good journey Mick and tell us about it!

I hope yesterday went as well as possible for a funeral Maw and that you were able to cope without too much distress.

I hope to try and attack the post evil-builders' assault on my house and do some sorting out again if I can manage it. Hard to move things as even carrying a few books is painful but am determined not to let this get on top of me.

To everyone in pain, lonely or not likely to see anyone today I send special greetings and hope you can find time in the day to enjoy a moment to treat yourself, even if it is just a cup of tea in the sun.

Thank you Tillybelle it was sad yesterday, but I more or less held it together- except when I glimpsed my friend’s 94 year old Dad as they played “Beautiful” (the theme I believe from The Deerhunter) Seeing others grieving is so upsetting as you know what they are going though, in their case, 70 years of marriage - a lifetime.
I think what you have suffered at the hands of your builders in beyond belief, also that you need to be trying to rectify things yourself. A job for the AC I would have said (but none of my business)
Take it gently.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day - if not necessarily a dry one ?

A late good morning from me.
I’ve been up some time, but faffing about with things!
It’s a nice day so far, sunshine and cloud but warmish. Plan to trim the hedge soon, if I motivate myself enough.
Hope you all have a good day. ?

Morning from the south coast, rainy and overcast here today. My daughter has gone to a childminder for the day, and I've potted my sweet peas and popped them outside to get used to it, have had my food shop delivered and booked someone in to repair my broken extractor fan, as well as arranged to go and see a litter of kittens that we are looking to adopt from a rescue- feeling quite productive today after a few emotionally difficult weeks. May take a trip into town later as I don't get to do that on my own often. Hope everyone has a lovely Tuesday

Auntyflo only just back, so I am very later in replying to you. I don't know why the pool is so cold, I would have thought that warmer water is better to get you moving and exercise the joints. Even the two young physios were complaining!

Welcome Carillon my lovely son lives about half a hour from Brittany. Both my 2 grandchildren go to French speaking schools. They love it although 6 acres of land to look after keeps him busy. But a very warm welcome to you

To Sprout, thank you so much for your welcome message, it is lovely to hear from you.

I'm in central Brittany so only half an hour each way from the channel coast (Binic a lovely beach) and half an hour from the Atlantic Coast (Le Cote Sauvage). It's very rural and quiet. What a great opportunity for your grandchildren to be bi-lingual. Thanks again for your words of welcome.
