Sorry AGA44 Unfortunately my criticism of “experts ” speculating yesterday that we have passed the peak based on a single drop in number of new cases , was proved justified today; 723 and 13 deaths; over twice yesterday’s!
Restrictions e.g. mandatory wearing of face masks have been extended to practically all of VIC, not just Melb.
Nutters abound! 3 teenage girls managed to travel from Queensland to Melb. reportedly to carry out “high-end” shop-lifting, attended a party, copped the virus, returned to Q via Sydney and won’t say who or what they visited.! They are now Public Enemy No.1 in Q!. Another female, anti-mask agitator, not wearing mask wouldn’t get out of her car so police smashed a window to extricate her! What is it with females? sad

Our Premier is Dan Andrews, a Labour politician and has the job courtesy of Trade Union support.
28C tomorrow! Wow1 I suppose you’ll be able to splash about in the surf provided you keep your masks on and which could be fashioned from the bottom half of a spare bikini set I suppose! grin

Our “derring-do” Neil, ironically made a successful career in the insurance world. Not door-to-door but industrial and now Govt.. planning. Thinking back on his exploits as a 5year old, I’d have called him an insurer’s nightmare! , which goes to show leopards can change their spots, or something like that!
Not much doing tomorrow! Nothing exciting, apart from a resumption of Doona hunting on the ‘Net; then installation of Win 10 (at last, I hope) ; installation of my new cordless phone set-up and hoping to persuade No. 2 Son to bring round some chish and fips’ grin
It would be the end of Mr. Andrews if he shut them down!
Very cold night promised, 2C and it’s now the witching hour so...

Good Health wine wine wine

Sorry to hear that Covid is still going strong there Rufus. There are too many Covidiots around like the three silly girls you mentioned. We have our fair share here too.

The 14 month old has made my phone charger disappear. I have searched everywhere for it but no luck. He may have packed it in his toy bag when he left. He loves the remotes for the TV but those are still here thankfully.

Keep warm and stay safe.

Just got back after taking my Grandson to the park. Took plenty of water and a canned drink.
So hot, he enjoyed the playground and I enjoyed my kindle. Hope you are ok Rufus.

Rufus2 we have our share of female and male covidiots here as well. It sounds cold where you are. I hope you are warm and toasty. I'm looking forward to our one day of summer tomorrow. My Neil is less derring do now he is in his mid 30s and is high up in his profession so I'm very proud. He and his partner are heading to North Wales on Saturday for a week's holiday. I should have been in Spain in June but it had to be cancelled.

Wet and rainy day here. Lovely. Quite a quiet day today after the excitement of visitors on Monday and a morning out with my pal on Tuesday.
Things don't seem any better here. Not a second wave just lots of little outbreaks. Interesting to note that it's the 24-44 age group with highest levels of infection. Hmmm. All those nights out in the pub or on crowded beaches.

Hello Rufus,
Sorry to hear about increase in COVID.?
Here yet another murder in London, where will it end, it seems going out for whatever reason is terrifying.

Weather here very hot again today, hard to equate with your cold!?? Too hot to sit in our tiny garden.

Had second haircut today but my husband now has ringlets, last day of shielding tomorrow so he may risk a visit to tho barbers but will still keep away from shops.???

Stay safe everyone

Cheers ?????
