Any Gransnetters here from Norfolk. I have seen posts from various parts of the UK and indeed the world, but rarely anything from Norfolk. I know that the idea is that we retain our anonymity, but I am just interested.

One or two have holiday cottages there but not quite the same thing! I bet there are loads out there, Watch this space!

Haven't seen any posts from Nfkdumpling for a while - whoops

My husband was born and bred in Norwich and I lived for many years close by in Suffolk.
Norfolk is a beautiful county with the Broads, coastline and a relatively small population. I love the North Norfolk coast.

Hello sodapop and down-to-earth. I am in South Norfolk. Looking forward to when we can get out and about again and visit some of our favourite places in
Norfolk again.

Hi I live in North Norfolk I rarely post but enjoy reading the good advice given on here and lots of the topics discussed. I have always lived in Norfolk .

I love Norfolk, and visit - or used to!, - often. My daughter has lived near norwich for several years and now lives near Bungay. Last September we spent a week in Sheringham, and my daughter walked with my husband along much of the coastal path while I read a book and looked at the sea! Who needs to fly away for a holiday?!

I live in beautiful South Norfolk. I'm a transplant from elsewhere in the UK just over 3 years ago. I love it here . It would be fun to have a meet up when the pandemic permits.

maryrose54 Mon 01-Feb-21 09:21:53

Good to hear from you NanaandGrampy. I've been here 40 years, come from another part of East Anglia.

GagaJo Mon 01-Feb-21 09:28:19

From Norfolk but moved away a long time ago. Ran away to London in fact.

I’ve mentioned quite a few times that we live in Norfolk.
Nice to know I’m so memorable ?

Hi I am another one from Suffolk not far from the Norfolk border or the Cambs border. Lovely part of the country.

gillgran Mon 01-Feb-21 10:21:50

I love Norfolk. I was born & brought up there, now live in the next county, so not far away.
We've had a little "home-from-home" for the past 14+ years, on the NW Norfolk coast, so, in normal times, we visit lots in the spring- through to - autumn.

maryrose54 Mon 01-Feb-21 11:00:31

Sorry Pamela. I don't always read every thread so must have missed you. Will look out for your posts now.

I lived near King's Lynn for 8 years, in the late 70s and early 80s. I loved the community life in the village, made lots of friends through our baby-sitting group and NHR. It was a relatively new village, so most of us were in-comers with children of around the same age. I had part-time work and got to know the Marshlands villages when I was Census Officer in 1981. Norwich, Cambridge and Peterborough were more or less equidistant from our village and good for shopping trips.

chloe1984 Mon 01-Feb-21 11:32:21

West Suffolk resident here

GagaJo Mon 01-Feb-21 12:33:09

I lived in West Suffolk for 20 years Chloe. 2 villages and a town. Worked in 2 schools there too.

chloe1984 Mon 01-Feb-21 12:36:20

We have been here around 45 years worked in and around Suffolk/Norfolk now retired, live in a busy market town .

Nannytopsy Mon 01-Feb-21 13:28:53

I’m in West Suffolk too, just south of the Norfolk border. Our postal address is Norfolk. I was on the verge of meeting up with a local member a year ago.
We must all meet up soon!

maryrose54 Mon 01-Feb-21 14:27:16

I am just over the border from Suffolk. Used to visit a busy market town there quite often with DH on a Saturday. Good to hear that some of you are in this area.

Born and brought up in Norwich (A Fine City). Left after 65years for Scotland after husband died, to be near my daughter and granddaughters. Good job I did - after hospitalisation last year I needed assistance and still do in small amounts.
Norfolk is a beautiful county with very little rain and lots of sunshine especially the North Norfolk coast. Scotland is gorgeous but moving away from friends is hard. A meet up here when things change sounds what I need!

How about Barnham Broom?
Seems to be in the middle but am prepared to be challenged.
