Hi! Evening All! Time flies; I feel like I’ve only just finished off the Sat’Day message! Weather hasn’t changed much at all! Still cold, wet and miserable, but that’s Winter, I guess! sad
Ellan; You’ve missed the point; my fault! Not the human muggers, although I guess you have enough of those, but seagulls! The cartoon appeared at the time fish and chips were under discussion here and a gentleman who had been beaten up was being asked to inspect a line-up of 10 seagulls each with a hot chip in its beak! Knowing how you loved seagulls and your proximity to the Mersey, hence “Mersey Muggers!” grin
Can’t stay away from Victoria! I live here so would cop a hefty fine!, if I tried.
Feel sorry for all those people locked down in 9 multi-storey tower blocks, all 3,000 of them, not to mention the 500 police manning each supervising shift.
The City v Liverpool game was excellent, especially as we won, and the sound-effects of spectator “noise’were amazingly lifelike!. Nice to see City in their natural light- blue strip again!
Expecting a phone call from granddaughter in Bideford; It would have been my young sister’s 87th. birthday to-day! We’ve had one brief power outage this evening so fingers crossed! All the communications go “out” too; phone, computer, internet, TV, then it’s all down to the mobile!

Having established Shazam on my recently purchased smartphone, I now find there’s a similar type App. for identifying flowers/shrubs etc.. Anyone used this ? It will help me no-end! My dear Vera was the brains in these things, I was simply the labourer, carting/digging etc and I’m still trying to find out what we’ve got!

Grandmabatty; you startled me there! , having a “blether” seemed like having a verbal ding-dong! After we’ve just confirmed you’re a friendly “Barbarian”! An Anglo/ Scot phrasebook will obviously be necessary before long.
Just a thought; is that the same as “blather”?
I’m sure you’ll all be pleased for me to know I’ve finally secured another podiatrist appointment this week! The first was cancelled because she couldn’t do a home visit because of the bush fire smoke; next time she wasn’t well, next time I had BPPV, but this time may be OK! She always wears a mask when she operates the nail-grinder,
so Covid won’t be a prob.! It will feel good to be a “Twinkle Toes” again! grin
Good Health wine wine wine

Hello Rufus, must be the week for dancing, we had the chiropodist come but had to stay in open conservatory as my husband is still shielding, nearly as much relief as the haircut I had, he has got to wait now till August for visit to barbers.
Hope you got your ‘phone call, we have a granddaughter in Devon too, I think they are having reasonable weather, at least warmer than yours. We have a grandson in NSW which I know is not round the corner from you, I wonder if they are still OK You will know I guess that Leicester is locked down, just hope last nights relaxation of pubs, restaurants etc doesn’t start any more. Don’t think there were so many covidiots on parade although Ive not really caught up with the news, I’m back in ostrich mode ,head in sand.
I had a daring visit to a supermarket on Thursday, first since mid March, that was scary, I got lost ?
Cheers all the best??????

Hiya Twinkle-toes, I finally got the drift about the "muggers " and had a titter about the seagull line-up. Only in Cornwall did a seagull swipe my cornet but not here on the banks of the Mersey--yet. I do love hearing them overhead though but not too near the washing !

I watched the news about those high-rise blocks, they are too. What a predicament all those people are in and being watched as well. No outlet, no garden, poor blighters. You'd think with all the land in Oz they'd build outward not upward. I'm not a fan of tower blocks.

My D and SiL had to have their break in Melbourne cancelled at the beginning of the year but won't/haven't got their money back. I think it was just over AUD-800 between them so would have been for a weekend by air from Sydney. They were miffed to say the least.

Weather's abysmal here. Blowing a gale and not so warm with it---summer ? I've got a jumper on !. Never mind, my roast dinner will warm me up shortly, it's beef today so the warmth will come from the horse-radish sauce grin as I like plenty of it.

Stay safe and well and keep warm. x

Good evening Rufus2. Lovely to hear from you. I am glad you enjoy football. I enjoy having control of the remote and no football! I'm introducing you to the Scots language. Blether means a good chat. Today in Polmont has been very windy and wet and you would have got drookit. Work that one out. Take care x
