Wish I had seen this pastry recipe before I made mine, looks delicious.

I can’t read it?

Ohmother Sun 22-Dec-19 17:56:59

I can’t read it I’m afraid.

To ring the changes I used to put orange zest in the pastry when I made mine. Lovely taste!

Tap on the image, and if viewing on tablet, "pinch" and spread to enlarge the view.

Ouch, an egg yolk so no can do as GS VERY allergic to egg, sadly.

jura2 would probably work without the egg and a bit of extra milk?

Mouthwatering, wish I had seen this before making mine!

Thank you phoenix!

Yes. Pinch and enlarge please.

Good job you can’t see all the grease marks on the paper from over the years!

Honestly everyone they are bluddy gorgeous. I think it’s the ground almonds that make such a difference!

Thank you Urmston, I have copied this down and will try it when I next make mince pies.

I still have 3 jars of homemade that Mum gave me, so will be making another batch soon.
