Palm rash

I have a rash on the palm of my hand, it is quite sore, little lumps below the skin. I have no idea why. Have googled but wondered if anyone had any advice? I have tried Dermol, hydrocorisone, and germolene. Been there for a couple of days, reluctant to go to the GP for something so trivial but dont want it to get a hold.

Maybe it’s a fungal type infection? Perhaps ask advice from your local pharmacist. They might be able to suggest something that doesn’t need a prescription.

Yes, that's what I was thinking. It is a nuisance!

It sounds like a type of eczema. I had the same thing between my fingers. Mine was due to wearing vinyl gloves at work, causing my fingers to sweat. The richness was horrible. Hydrocortisone cream fixed it.
Do you have sweaty palms? I would visit the pharmacy or GP for a proper diagnosis.

Itchiness.

It could be a viral infection in which could be why creams like hydrocortisone haven’t helped.

Definitely the pharmacist, not the assistant.

I saw the pharmacist who thought allergic rash or shingles. I really don't think that it's shingles though. I am trying a anti histimine. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Did you feel unwell before this happened?
Have you been in contact with any children who may have hand, foot and mouth disease?
Just a thought.

No, I have felt fine, no contact with children at all. Morning before it started I went to the supermarket and although I am usually quite careful about hand washing I have wondered whether there was something lurking there?!

It could be scabies. Just a possibility - it's still around.

EEk!!

Phew! No it's not scabies, I have just checked. It does not itch, at all, but it is sore.

Are you stressed? My doctor in Holland used to say when I got a rash on my palm or hands that stress often comes out in this way.

I have seen something similar on feet, sore with small watery bumps? which was a fungal infection as grannyqueenie suggested.

The treatment for that was Canesten cream.
