I am 74 and have suffered with Lupus SLE since my teens. I now find my hair is going so thin you can see my scalp and I find it very depressing and feel so self conscious. People are commenting on it. I have tried various hair remedies but nothing seems to work. Apart from buying a wig does anyone else have any suggestions. Thank you.

Good Morning Kiwigramz my hair is thinning and I find it everywhere. I'm forever feeling stray ones that have fallen out on my neck, shoulders etc. Also my hairbrush is full of hairs too. I'm forever cleaning it. I have several autoimmune problems and my nails seem to be quite soft and tend to split. I mentioned this to the GP and he prescribed Fultium vitamin D3 800 lU. They are lovely very small clear blue capsules like small sapphires! I think they might be helping. I live in hope. I hope you find a solution. Have a good weekend. flowers

I have this too, and have some bald patches showing,
I was taking VitD3 bot as i said on another thread a locum has stopped them, she said i can buy them but i dont think i can buy the highest strength, she said i dont need them grrr
Will see my own GP when hes back
I agree it is very depressing, i am going away for a few days this weekend and feel i am going to have wear something on my head the whole time, i am trying to grow the rest down from the front to cover it,as that is quite thick
