Hi,

My mum is 92 recently had some slight vaginal bleeding , like spotting. Been seen at hospital on internal examination he stated a lot of blood would appear to be coming from the cervix. Biopsy taken -

Has anyone got any knowledge of this ?

Sorry no, but at least she had the sense to get it examined quickly.

Sorry, no knowledge at all, but I hope they find the cause soon. All the best to your mum. flowers

Thank you. It was more of a case that we originally got her a GP home visit, then took her to hospital appointment under protest! Fiercely independent

This has happened a couple of time to my mother in law. Once we called the doctor and another time she was in hospital for other matters. She was examined but nothing obvious found and no diagnosis given. As she had an hysterectomy 30 years ago she wasn't unduly worried.

Could it be medication, as some anti -inflammatory drugs have that effect on a friend of mine, and the bleeding has lasted several day.she made the connection herself and now only uses paracetamol.
