I know this is a very common op and almost always successful. None of my friends had any problems.
I had a cataract removed from my only good eye 15 days ago and my sight is still very blurred, with reflections, ghost images and haloes around lights. I can read using my old reading glasses up very close.
I have an appointment at eye clinic tomorrow Meanwhile, has anyone here had complications?

No not personally, the only thing was that it was discovered that I was allergic to the iodine they use to prevent infection.

Not had a cataract operation myself, but I know friends who had. It varied. But I think all of them had some issue for a couple of weeks after the operation. Don't panic. You have an appointment tomorrow. I hope they will be able to allay your concerns.

You may need a bit of laser treatment. I had some and it is totally painless.

Oh yes Liz you reminded me, I had that too and it was totally painless and very effective.
I hope your appointment goes well.

Hospital visit reassured me, there’s nothing wrong with the lens and my problems will clear in time. I can put up with this until my eye is healed and can then get new glasses.

Well that's good to hear. Now you can relax and your new glasses will make life much better.
