My mother-in law has a fold-up walking stick which she likes as it has a comfortable gel handle. It works fine for her but she would like to be able to fold it up without assistance!

It is unfortunately very stiff and awkward to fold as she's not very strong. Once she's used it for a little while it's quite difficult and she can't disassemble it to fold it.

This is the one she is using:
Drive Height Adjustable Folding Walking Stick with Gel Grip.

Does anyone else have a problem folding them up and if so did you find one that worked more easily please?

Thank you.

I use this one and it’s usually fine to fold up but I did put a little WD40 on the joints recently when it appeared a bit stiff.

Does that one just fold in half please Anne?
Do you know what make it is please and I'll look it out.

My mother-in-law just can't manage the one she's using. It takes a fair amount of strength to pull it apart.

Thank you.
