The problem is that there is not yet an editor for Glasgow. It won't happen on its own, Glasgow grans, someone has to make it happen. To become an editor, email GNHQ.

In the meantime, you are very welcome to use Gransnet Edinburgh as a temporary home. hope you get your own place soon. You are very welcome to come to our meet-ups (next one is coffee and cupcake cupcake cupcake )

Next stop Waverley...how extremely kind...and I'm one of those strange weegies...I love Edinburgh. And yes an editor or consortium of editors would help. I'd love to but not sure I have the skills or ability.

We would love to have all you Weegies in the Edinburgh Local. You can get Devolution when someone is persuaded to become an editor of a Glasgow site, but until then there is room for all. A consortium is a very good idea, some people are good at organising booze-ups social gatherings, others at getting listings online, others at Facebook and Twitter stuff, so they could share the workload.

Please, please, post on the Ed Local forums as well as these. You can keep the same username if you want, so that people who already know you will recognise you and chat, or you can take a second one. I have two, and I can assure you that if I move from one forum to the other, it is pretty difficult to remember what my name is supposed to be.

I would love to join the Einburgh local but I do think its a shame there are not more grans in the west of scotland on here. The problem is I live on the west coast so meet up in Edinburgh would be a problem . I am a huge fan of Edinburgh as a city and would love to visit more but the I realy dont fancy the drive. and public transport takes so long
