Hi Steffers thanks for dropping by. If you want that coffee place to be mentioned I can put in on the listing. Tell me it's proper name and address and I will tweet it so that it goes to the facebook page and on twitter.
You are welcome to come onto the forum whenever, how did you find it can you tell me?

Just dropping in to say hello. My daughter, SiL and granddaughters are all holidaying in your neck of the woods this week. Anyone who wants to join us is welcome at our Bolton meetup at the end of May. If you're ever having a get-together that is not too far away from the end of the M56, I could probably get there - I live at the other end in south Manchester.

Have a good weekend smile wine

Hello whenim64 thanks for popping by, I hope your daughter is enjoying her holidays although the weather isn't that great at the moment.
That would be good if and when I can get enough people to join us.

You too have a good one

I have just joined your site. I am a grandma with 3 grandchildren and live in Trefriw, nice to have something local for grandparents.

juneh Wed 15-May-13 21:07:21

Hello happyandretired how lovely to hear from you.
This is a relatively new site and I am hoping to arrange a meetup for grandparents when we get enough takers. I am based in Penrhyn Bay and have the task of editing the gransnet conwy site.
Have you been on a forum before?
If you want to see the facebook page you can link in by clicking the facebook fb sign at the top of this forum that will take you direct to what is going on in conwy.

happyandretired Wed 15-May-13 21:20:21

Thank you for your swift reply. I have not been on the forum before this evening. I will check out the fb page for more information and good luck with the site.

Should have mentioned I came accross the site quite by chance when looking at the post on Pretty Pieces Llandudno otherwise I would not have found you.

That's interesting thanks for the feedback. We are in the process of building up the local sites and I have only been editor for about 4 weeks so it takes time. If you know any other grandparents who might be interested that would be good. It is true you have to like surfing the net and mostly it's the facebook side of things which seems to be more attractive this far. I am working to build up the forums if I can.
thanks again for dropping by watch this space for a meet up time and place.

Hi June,
It's taken me a week to make time to contact you - you will remember we met at the FPBLL Summer Fair last week and you told me about Gransnet. We have lived at Penrhyn Bay for 3 years (part-time, as we pop back to look after grandchildren periodically) and I am interested in joining a local group of similar minded ladies - so would be interested in meeting up for coffee (and cake!) sometime. I am not on Facebook - would that be a problem? Just getting into joining forums. Came across your articles which I found most interesting. Await hearing from you with a meet up date.

juneh Sun 26-May-13 07:37:56

Hi SueG yes I remember you well. At the moment this is a relatively new forum and one of it's aims is to set a regular meetup day for such as yourself. You can follow my facebook page by clicking on the fb button at the top right of the page you don't need one yourself but you can follow the activity on Gransnet Conwy fb. Just keep communicating on here and I will come up with suitable meeting date and venue. You can also write on GNconwy fb page.
You will be part of the new gransnetters for Conwy I think at the moment there is only one other who might want to meet up. Next time you are in LLandudno I am happy to meet up with you for a coffee we can be the pioneers of our new Conwy Gransnet meet ups. I check in here several times a day. Stay in touch smile

juneh Mon 27-May-13 13:26:29

It looks like I have about 3 possible grans who would like to meet up so I thought maybe I could tentatively say June would be a good month so even if you are not yet living here maybe by the end of June we could make an arrangement.
How about Badgers in Llandudno for afternoon tea? more details to follow of course.

SueG Tue 28-May-13 20:52:44

End of June (23rd onwards) or into July would be fine - see how this suits the other grans. Afternoon tea at Badgers sounds good. Look forward to hearing from you. Good luck in finding new recruits.

Looking good thanks for letting me know.
Hope your move is going well I still feel as if I am on holiday even though we have now been here for 5 years. smile
We retired here after meeting in 2004 via internet dating then marrying in 2007. We had both been widowed and thought it was time to start afresh and we certainly did that. sunshine
