I have found a wonderful chap but it would be a bit too far away. My daughter spotted an advert in her local post office so it might be worth looking in local and not quite so local shops.

You may find that your local Age Concern office has a list of reputable trades and handymen. Our local one does, and I think they are pretty reliable. We dont personally use them, though I was once instrumental in selecting such persons. I seem to be the resident one in our household. My constant list indicates I will be 'kept on' for sometime yet! Get a price for any work to be done, and don't pay 'up front'. You know this anyway.

For my rented cottage near Richmond, I need someone to do general
maintenance work (painting, weed clearing the drive and some repointing).

If anyone knows of a reliable person able to do these jobs please get in touch via the website - not sure if this is the appropriate area to place a request
like this.

many thanks
