Sandygran Sun 14-Sep-14 08:14:55

Hi colouredrainbow I am the local co-ordinator for the Fylde Coast but not been very active lately! I am happy to arrange a meet up and we can try and get some other members to come along. Response has been slow in the past. Are you in Blackpool? We also have a North West meet up about every six months but that is usually Manchester way

genielight Sat 27-Dec-14 19:52:56

Hi Saffie.

Have you had a lovely Christmas?, Most of my family are now in Perth Australia...I miss them so much!, I have my daughter who's near me and my G/daughter who's in Blackburn, Shes visits a couple of times a month which I love...

genielight its been quiet. DD1 just had an op on 24th this month. DD2 fil died suddenly about 10 days ago. He was a lovely man, so it's been quite sad. DH and I have had a virus (and breathe). Having said it all, I'm better now. Onwards and upwards. Hope you had a lovely time with what family you have around.

Welcome Maeve2508 I'm in favour of getting the bus into Blackpool.

Maggie1 Sun 11-Jan-15 11:37:19

Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and this is my first post, I live in Blackpool and would love to meet up.

saffie57 Sun 11-Jan-15 15:48:13

Hi Maggie1 and welcome. Logically Blackpool seems to be the hub. Can any G.Ner's from Blackpool suggest a suitable location? Is it to be a lunch or a high tea? Being democratic the will of the many outweigh etc., etc. etc. Over to you.

Sandygran Mon 12-Jan-15 21:52:27

Hi do you want lunch or maybe coffee and cake? There are a few tea rooms in Blackpool where we could meet. There are a couple of members in St Annes who may come along. Can I make a suggestion for a date. As Saffie can join us in February can I suggest Thursday 5th or 12th February which is before half term. There is a coffee place called number 5 in Cedar Square which has an upstairs where I could book a table if nobody struggles with stairs? They do sandwiches , light meals and cakes .

saffie57 Tue 13-Jan-15 11:02:07

Sandygran coffee and cake at the suggested location sounds brill. I'll keep both suggested dates free and fall in with the majority. Was going to put silent majority, but none of us here are silent lol. Over to you. Count me in definitely.

Sandygran Tue 13-Jan-15 18:18:46

That's great Saffie .I will wait for the others to respond then we can finalise a date. Look forward to meeting you smile

Maeve2508 Thu 15-Jan-15 10:47:56

Hello there
Thankyou for the email. I would love to come to a meet up. 12th February is best for me, as I will be looking after 3 grandchildren on 5th, while parents are off on their own for a couple of days. Looking forward to hearing from you. Maeve

Sandygran Thu 15-Jan-15 23:38:05

Hi Maeve and Saffie should we say the 12th February at the number 5 coffee bar Cedar Square (Cedar Square is opposite the Winter Gardens) about 12 .30pm. I will ask for a table upstairs where it is quieter for a chat. Good luck with the babysitting Maeve!

saffie57 Fri 16-Jan-15 06:59:39

Hi Sandygran thank you for steering this to the next level. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Maeve2508 Fri 16-Jan-15 10:10:17

Sandygran Sat 07-Feb-15 21:04:44
