Hi again, last year a few (very few! ) of us managed to meet up once in Ramsgate and twice in Canterbury. One or two folks who replied initially I didn't hear from again. Now I have seen we have grandMattie in Sandwich and Addie 49 near Canterbury. So if you two would like to meet either in Ramsgate or Canterbury let me know and I will come contact the others. Suggest we avoid August and try in September. Be great to hear from you.

Really bad at checking these local posts. Probably because I don't receive them automatically like the ordinary GN posts. Not sure how to organise that tbh. Might try the icons at the bottom.
I'm not too far from Bluewater so might try getting to the meet up there next month. Would that be Thursday March 2nd or the 9th though? Or have I got the wrong month completely and missed it?

I live in north kent, is anyone nearby? Have previously Suggested meeting at bluewater to combine a shopping trip with a meet up but kent is large and most who have responded are at the other end of the county. Would be nice though.

Been on Gransnet a while but only just bothered to look for a local group. I've lived in Biddenden (mid-point between Canterbury and Maidstone) for three years but formerly from Chislehurst. I'm working PT as a Specialist Teacher and have four granddaughters aged 5 and under.

Just joined and I am near Canterbury.

Four of us from Thanet managed to get together last week for a coffee. It was great and we have fixed another date in May. Please contact me if you would like to join us. I see mine was the last post on here on the 21 March and there are few posts since the first on 15 Nov 2014 !!! I am not surprised, I find it incredibly difficult to get on to this page! There has to be a simpler way. I am going to contact Gransnet now. Do contact me if you are in easy reach of either Ramsgate or Canterbury and we can arrange another coffee meet.

I have lived in Maidstone for over 25 years and have long since come to the conclusion that pretty much most of the entertainment is designed for youngsters who want all-night drinking, clubs and fast food style eating. Since becoming a mature divorcee a little while ago, there's precious little for people in my situation.

Wherever you are in Kent, I hope you find something other than bicycle clubs and walking groups! I'm also a young-at-heart someone, looking for some inspiration!

I've checked out the Kent local site a few times but there's never anything on there. Clicking on things to do in Kent brings up the same blank page for each section.
