Cancellation of Meet up!

Hi English! It does sound as though you have more than enough on your plate at the moment. I hope that your sister in law is ok and your foot recovers soon. I have just looked after my two young grandchildren for 2 days and it was exhausting. I could have done with being 30 years younger! It would be good to meet up later in the year and if I am not in the Algarve (recovering from school holiday childcare) I will be pleased to join you! Enjoy your holiday, relax, recover and hopefully we can all meet up in September.x

I think we all tend to take on too much sometimes! I still think I'm in my 30's and of course I'm not, having hit the big 70 at the end of June.

We've all decided not to do a lot of sightseeing in the heat of Sicily. I think that's wise as son in law and daughter all work hard and need a break so lounging about will suit us just fine. There are places to go and see which we will do now and then. Having a really good rest is high on the list of must do's!!!

Are we any nearer to a meet up?

Hello CG. Not at the moment I'm afraid, but please don't let that stop any of you from arranging a Meet Up without me.

I came back to the start of a medication routine for preventing Gout which I've had for 10 years now and is getting worse and if not treated can lead to all sorts of nasties! Two sets of tablets and they are having side effects which are not easy to control. so I have to arrange my work and my going out very carefully.

The first month is the worse apparently but feeling exhausted is pretty common and I do have fatigue, but one set of tablets is only for one month, leaving me with the ones which are easier to cope with. Until I've got this sorted I thought it best not to venture too far from home. Lucky I can most often work from home too!

At the end of September I am hoping to be in a better place in which to organise and get started. But, as I said, don't wait for me ladies. Just get together and I will join yu all at a later date.

It's my husband's birthday tomorrow (31st) and family will be over here so I won't be able to make it, sadly.

Happily I am certainly getting used to the new meds and calming down a bit, so I'm really pleased to say I hope to join you on the next one.

I've also been busy with work issues and spent much of my energy on this plus of course the granddaughters and life just whizzes by!
