It had the whiff of that from the beginning nellie I should imagine the business people in Turkey are pulling their hair out. They were doing very well prior to this coup.

About 35000 public servants, including 15000 in education. Not good.

You could sign the petition to tell him to stop or he will definitely not be allowed to join the EU.

Turkey will never join the EU, but I did sign the petition as a gesture of support for the Turkish people.

That's what I think, Wilma. A shame that Brexiters were taken in by the idea. As you say, a bit of support for the Turkish population wouldn't come amiss, considering we expect them to help with the Syrian refugee problem.
