Will it be the 'Curse of the polls'?

In recent times those riding high in the polls and/or a 'Sure cert' have invariably lost!

Boris couldn't wait to leave!

Please, please, please, please let Hunt win the leadership contest. Johnson’s bluff and incapability to utter a sentence without huff and puff and er and um , nightmare

Whitewavemark2 Sat 22-Jun-19 17:27:28

Hunt is doing better than Johnson I think. He is far more convincing.

Just watching the hustings with Johnson.

Blimey that was grim.

What, ban politicians in case they become popular?
Sounds like life in the good old USSR.

TV is completely to blame for the rise of Farage in my opinion,we've had him shoved at us now for years by the good old BEEB ....even when none of us in Scotland had no idea who the clown is,Now we do know we still dont want him on our screens .Boris isn't popular here either ...well as anovelty act he's quite amusing but his rants against Scots haven't endeared him to the population in general .Ruth Davison spent more time on reality shows than in her constituency where she has held just ONE in her time as an MSP.....I know this as fact as my best friend lives in the Mooths constituency which recently only polled 10% for "Ruths Tories" as she called them on leaflets and 33% for SNP ...OH DEAR!!

Should we ban politicians from tv programmes apart from the news and politics? I'm asking because I think HIGNIFY is to blame for Boris Johnson's popularity. His appearances were always entertaining and, as a result, many people admired him and some still do, despite everything we have learned about his misdemeanors.
