This new treatment is intended for women who go into premature menopause.
This can happen to young women in their twenties.
Very lazing and inaccurate reporting in some newspapers.

I doubt you'd get pregnant - when all the eggs are gone, they're gone. There's enough going wrong at 70 without the menopause too

Delaying osteoporosis sounds good! But you can keep the periods.

It was stressful enough going through menopause at 50 without HRT (my choice).

The thought of doing it at 70 alongside all the “joys of old age” is to me, simply horrifying!!!!

Apparently doctors can now do an operation which will delay the menopause for 20 years. nypost.com/2019/08/03/new-surgery-could-delay-menopause-by-20-years-report/
Personally I think it would be awful. Presumably you would have periods and be liable to get pregnant until 70(approx). I know there are medical problems post menopause but there are advantages and the thought of having hot flushes just as all the problems of old age kick in is horrific.
