I think it will be a hung parliament again. This election was the Labour Party’s to win but they have completely failed to win my vote and I speak as somebody who has voted Labour for most of my adult life. The continual insistence that the NHS will be privatised and we will have to pay three figure sums for operations is untrue and a disgraceful attempt to scaremonger and deflect from the issues of Anti-Semitism, and the headless chicken handling of a policy on Brexit. Jeremy Corbyn comes across as a tetchy old man in every interview. All the Labour politicians who have some credibility have disappeared, where are Yvette Cooper and Keir Starmer? Instead we have the likes of the garrulous Andy MacDonald and Barry Gardiner spouting the same old mantra in every interview they do. Rebecca Long-Bailey and Angela Rayner never answer questions but also repeat the same mantra as MacDonald and Gardiner. Thankfully they have sidelined Diane Abbott during this election. The Labour Party my parents encouraged me to support was a party for the working person and bears no resemblance to the ‘champagne socialist’ party of today.
I am under no illusions about what the Conservative party wish to achieve and for me the Liberal Democrats have no credibility whatsoever so since we only have the three parties I have mentioned to choose from I will not be voting this time.
If we had a Green Party candidate I would vote for them.
