Are you aware that an 'international group of lawyers is preparing to sue the World Health Organization (WHO) over damages inflicted on large parts of the population by the coronavirus lockdown?'
Please listen to German lawyer Dr. Reiner Fuellmich and everything will be revealed, answering many, many questions. It is rather long, but essential to hear it all.
Scroll down to where it says 'crimes against humanity' and click to start......

I’m breaking my self-imposed suspension to reply to this. You should check your sources NannyC2 - or perhaps you did.
Lifesitenews is the media arm of the Canadian Life Coalition
‘ The Campaign Life Coalition (sometimes shortened to Campaign Life) is a Canadian political lobbyist organization founded in 1978.[1] Based in Toronto, the organization advocates for socially conservative values.[2] It opposes abortion, euthanasia, embryonic stem cell research, assisted reproductive technologies, same-sex marriage, and gender identity legislation.[3][4][5]

In other words "news from down the rabbit hole"

NannyC may have been lulled into a false sense of identity but make no mistake, legal action is on the cards for the UK government. Not least that already instituted by Cathy Gardener of North Devon, as a result of the death of her father in a care home.

This Covid has certainly brought out all the nutcases !

WHO advice at the beginning of the outbreak was highly questionable, Australia and NZ ignored it and locked down immediately.
We and others did effectively nothing to restrict travel and are paying the price, however if the advice was different would it have been practical to isolate the tens of thousands of Brits returning home?.

With hindsight it probably would have been worthwhile.

Reminds me of the old saying Davidhs. 'a stitch in time saves nine'. If action had been taken on people entering the country much earlier then I feel sure we would not have had as many deaths.

Hindsight is wonderfulp

Foresight is better

But the class action in the link is alleging that people's human rights were removed by "locking them down", so presumably New Zealand and Australia would have been the worst offenders.

No doubt people have seen/read about the so-called "Barrington Manifesto" because it's been heavily touted in the media. It's also been widely criticised by most respected scientists.

The Academy of Medical Sciences is highly respected. This is its critical response to the manifesto:

acmedsci.ac.uk/more/news/navigating-covid-19-through-the-volume-of-competing-voices

It's worth reading.

The Barrington Manifesto is pseudo-science and has been produced by right-wing libertarians, who believe in eugenics and the survival of the fittest. The right wing media have picked up on it because it supports what the British government still believes is possible and is the reason underneath the mixed messaging. It would appear the OP also has those views.

I don’t get that human rights issue, Aus & NZ revoked Visas for foreigners and insisted that nationals returning isolated for 14 days under supervision, many countries now do that.

How can that be a human rights issue

growstuff Sat 10-Oct-20 11:08:56

Don't ask me! It's muddled thinking at best.

Presumably it removes freedom for people to do what the hell they like..

Revoking visas for foreigners means that many people lost their jobs and farmers will not be able to harvest the crops, so that was a knee jerk reaction which lacked foresight.

Quarantine is mandatory but people have to pay for the 14 day stay in a supervised hotel themselves.

Gwenisgreat1 Sat 10-Oct-20 11:20:22

It's China we should be suing for keeping quiet about it while spreading the virus all over.

Davidhs Sat 10-Oct-20 11:27:38

Certainly the Tourist and travel industry suffered as it has in the U.K. but I don’t think many farmers lost crops, although it hasn’t been easy.
Australia and NZ have since relaxed entry rules from some countries, definitely not the U.K. They have avoided the massive infection rate we had and the cost of compensation on the scale of the U.K. spending.

Callistemon Sat 10-Oct-20 11:32:10

but I don’t think many farmers lost crops, although it hasn’t been easy
How do you know that, Davidhs?
Farmers reply on backpackers who are required to do 88 days farm work if they want a second year Visa.
Many workers come from the Far East too.

Harvesting many crops has not started yet in many areas.

Callistemon Sat 10-Oct-20 11:39:29

Have the rules changed since this was published by the Australian Government, Davidhs?

Australia’s borders are closed. Only Australian citizens, residents and immediate family members can travel to Australia. Learn more about who can enter Australia from the Department of Home Affairs.
Australian Border Force liaison officers will work with airlines at overseas airports to identify those who should not board flights to Australia.
Since 27 March 2020, no foreign-flagged cruise ships may enter Australian waters

Davidhs Sat 10-Oct-20 17:26:16

They are in the same position a U.K. The government is allowing seasonal workers from the Pacific region, not enough yet, still have to isolate under supervision

Lucca Sat 10-Oct-20 17:38:41

My initial reaction is “what a load of nonsense”. What did they want to happen ? And no I’m not going to read the whole thing.

Lucca Sat 10-Oct-20 17:39:52

I’d be far more Inclined to sue those who allowed mass events to go ahead

Callistemon Sat 10-Oct-20 17:40:13

Yes, I have now seen the updated rules.
However
This exemption does not apply to pickers, packers, sorters or meat processors who must still quarantine in government run hotel accommodation at their own expense for 14 days.

I think they are charging $2,000 expenses for quarantining so that could put off many seasonal workers. Paying for a flight, quarantine would incur a lot of expense although they are paid well.
Many stayed on after last season, I believe, as some borders were closed, so yes, they were available for work.
