Two Jets Johnson now apparently and what is his obsession with having things painted.

Far, far too much.

yggdrasil Mon 24-May-21 14:53:24

As much as he reckons he can get away with !

Doodledog Mon 24-May-21 14:55:08

And now the wedding of 2022 to factor in. It would be interesting to see what he gets as wedding gifts and from whom.

Do you mean just in money or are lives included?

Oh, don't. It doesn't bear thinking about.

Kali2 Mon 24-May-21 15:43:56

even much more expensive is the money given to him by supporters of the Cons- in exchange for deals, etc- indirectly.

And even more so. the loss of respect, trust, reputation, etc- of his behaviour and that of his Cabinet. You can't put a price on that.

JaneJudge Mon 24-May-21 15:51:30

900k for repainting it? in what, gold?

seamstress Mon 24-May-21 16:44:41

Maybe its got a Lulu Little designed interior

theworriedwell Mon 24-May-21 16:47:42

He cost the lives of thousands of elderly and vulnerable people in care homes. Hard to put a price on it but he has blood on his hands.

His decision to back Leave on the spin of a coin has cost us even more than his mishandling of the pandemic in terms of our future prosperity, our good reputation and standing in the world, the prospects for our children and grandchildren and perhaps even in the likely disintegration of the United Kingdom caused by the disaster of Brexit.

How could we ever put a price on that?

Polarbear2 Mon 24-May-21 17:56:13

Too much. Far too much. In all areas.

This is a bit odd.

An anti Johnson thread and no one has come on to say we are being unfair.

Have they got tired of trying to defend the indefensible?

nanna8 Wed 26-May-21 00:29:56

Oh dear. There would be a total riot if our PM did that, blood on the streets!

It will be even more difficult to defend the indefensible after listening to DC this morning. But they will.

am fed up with the old f**t . he spends whatever money he likes ,and s*d the rest of us ..

As for the decoration of the flat- apparently he had no idea somebody else would pay for it - fancy that !

mokryna Sat 29-May-21 09:07:11

It seem he is having luxury food delivered in white bags, which being donated ...... I just think of the free school meal.

Blinko Sat 29-May-21 09:15:28

He and his cronies are far, far out of touch with the lives of ordinary people. I think he's milking this PM-ship for all it's worth. Luxury food donated by a wealthy family (Bamford), good grief!

PippaZ Sat 29-May-21 09:20:58

Boris Johnson acted 'unwisely' but did not break the ministerial code over the funding of the Downing Street flat refurbishment, the new adviser on standards ruled.

But Lord Geidt also found that Health Secretary Matt Hancock had committed a ‘technical’ breach of the code by failing to declare he had a stake in a family company that won an NHS contract.

From The Spectator email.

We can’t cost the loss of life. That is a tragedy.

Astu Sat 29-May-21 09:29:17

Cost the country - Many, many lives, it’s international reputation, the union, it’s dignity, economic impact of brexit and lack of action to combat the pandemic,
But he’s happy so that’s ok.

Whitewavemark2 Sat 29-May-21 09:31:15

Very slow decline

EkwaNimitee Sun 30-May-21 09:46:58

And now there's this proposed ship. £200million apparently. Never mind, there's all this money we've saved by Brexit-ing!

Sunny82z Tue 01-Jun-21 23:28:10

Carpers one and all it would appear, the PM is not responsible for the pandemic that he nearly died of. Our vaccine roll out has been unbelievably efficient and all the usual suspects on here can do is be unnecessarily vindictive. I expect it would have been so much better with Jeremy Corbin? Like it or not Brexit is going to work.
