Chicco have asked us to find seven gransnetters to try out a selection of toys from their range with their grandchildren. Chicco say ^"Making a baby smile is the most extraordinary job ever. Everything we design has a single purpose; to enter a home, meet a baby and make him happy. Our range of toys is designed exactly with that purpose as well as assisting the babies at each stage of their growth providing them with the most suitable form of stimuli to help their development.

We work very closely with Osservatorio Chicco, our Baby Research Centre dedicated to growing our knowledge of children from 0 to 3 years of age and their psycho-physical, emotional and social needs, in constant collaboration with the medical-scientific world"^.

What a lovely piece of market research smile
I've just arrived home after a day with my grand-daughter and I'd love to try one of these toys out with her.
She loves anything that plays music and songs, and loves rhymes.
Perfect market researcher wink

Oh, how fantastic! I've had an email to say I've been selected and one of the toys will arrive tomorrow for my little granddaughters to play with. smile

Just had the Chicco toy delivered. It's the Sit'n'Ride Quattro, which is a pleasant surprise. My little granddaughters will enjoy it, I'm sure smile

whenim64 Fri 02-Nov-12 17:11:01

Initial impressions of the Sit'n'Ride Quattro:

Easy to assemble, despite 4 litte twin hands trying to help.
One twin not happy with the safety harness, as it restricted her movements forward when she wanted to investigate. Quite a tight fit for a 12 month old baby, as it will need to be used for three or four months more.
The lift-out activity centre is great. There is a car-skid sound which proved popular (fortunately, you can remove the batteries!)
Sturdy. We had read reviews saying it was unstable, but the centre of gravity is low, and it appears to be stable.
The rocker facility is not impressive, but that's the first stage (9 months) and we took the rockers off again to use the wheels.
Great to have a handle so adults can push it along without stooping.
Wouldn't be able to use it on an uneven surface as parts are only millimetres from the floor.

Will be back with more comments in a couple of weeks.

Came home from work to find a note saying a parcel had been left with a neighbour, couldn't for the life of me think what it might be. Opened the box gingerly only to find the Chicco Rainbow Cube Projector, what a fabulous surprise smile

I'm sure my baby grandaughter will love it, I do hope it helps to relax her. Will check it out over the few days. Thank you so much.
