Survey completed, saying something for me as my computer/tech skills are limited! Three children, all married - any further marriages and they can pay for it all!

Weddings are sometimes an interesting platform for family rifts to air and people's odd quirks become to light.

Survey completed with my DDs wedding in mind. My son married a Latvian lass whose family live near Riga. Knowing that my DiL's family would not be able to afford to come to the UK for the wedding and that we wouldn't be able to go to a wedding over there, he did the very sensible thing and bought an Elopement Package (I didn't know there was such a thing!). This included two nights half board in a hotel somewhere in Wales, the marriage licence and the ceremony. DiL bought herself a nice, white dress from Ebay. They looked so happy in the photos and, as far as DH and I were concerned, it was absolutely the best thing to do.

My middle child got married in Las Vegas paid for by myself and my OH. It was only a small wedding as not many people were able to go obviously but it was a day to remember. Unfortunately the marriage didn't last too long. I don't think I would do it again.

Perhaps an additional question could be; "Are the couple who got married....still married or was it a total waste of time & money!" as in our case. 6 months & it was all over.
