Valentine's Day

I'm in a new relationship; it's only been 8 weeks but very intensive... Whilst the L-word has been used on both sides, I'm sensible enough to know that we're both feeling the effects of a heady cocktail of self-generated hormones; things could pan out well, or not so well, when this initial phase is over. But by heck it's good at the moment!

However V-Day is in three weeks time and I don't want to spook him with protestations of undying love, but neither do I want to be too off-hand.

So does anyone have any ideas for appropriate gifts, messages, etc, that strike the right balance?

How about cooking a lovely meal (or getting some M & S in if you don't cook) but not VDay themed and no obvious VDay schmalzy cards or anything. Going out to a restaurant is a bit OTT on VDay and its a rip off too.

Congratulations on finding someone special to have fun with. Enjoy!

That's a great idea Teetime and there are always humorous cards so that might be an idea too.

Hope you both enjoy VD.

How wonderful pen50! Enjoy every minute!

As for Valentine's Day, I think Teetime and Smileless have given you great ideas! But stay flexible for now, he might have a lovely vd plan of his own!

Am I the only one thinking that Valentine's Day looks horrid written as "vd" ?

Just send a card and let him do the thinking and planning.
