I bought a rose.

So touching to read. I have a special rose for my husband who I lost 2yrs ago and for each of my much loved pets. Always a lovely reminder when they are in flower.

My husband always bought me roses. My elder daughter did the same for me after he died. Last year she was too ill to go to the florist so she bought me a silk rose.

Honeysuckle moment.

Its an evening that the honeysuckle has to itself,
in unexpected corners.
Found still and half sunlit,
pouring itself unexpected, scented, vibrant,
silent.
each moment its own saviour
each instant new with ripplefurled leaf and petal thriving and striving, hearing what we cannot,
Roots in earth, flower in time with the sky.
still holding the secret
the one that we forgot
forgotten time, that we just let slip right by......
