Not everyone is remembered on their birthday, so I thought it would be good to have a birthday thread. smile

No its not my birthday today but it's my daughters. It would have been my dear husbands tomorrow but sadly he died very suddenly a few years ago and we miss him so much. My birthday is on the 13th next month. One of my grandsons birthday is the day before that which was my late Dad's birthday too. Happy birthday to everyone who has a birthday! Thinking of you all. Have a lovely day.

If I find the time I shall make a point of drinking his health in the Shakespeare Bar I noticed here in Weimar yesterday.

pompa Thu 23-Apr-15 07:52:57

Grumppa, you are 399 years too late, but better late than never smile

hildajenniJ Thu 23-Apr-15 08:36:01

Indeed! Happy birthday to William Shakespeare. Wonderful plays. If he wrote them all!

Mishap Thu 23-Apr-15 09:06:57

It should be my new GS's birthday today, but he seems rather reluctant to leave the comfort of his mother's womb!

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 23-Apr-15 09:14:46

Oops! Nobody mentioned the Queen! A couple of days ago. shock

Stansgran Thu 23-Apr-15 10:11:49

Yes but she's spoilt with two of them. My son in law's last Monday and the gardener's tomorrow. He changed the day so he could have his 40th off.

grumppa Thu 23-Apr-15 14:40:21

Lecture from the barmaid that WS's exact date of birth was unknown but it was celebrated today. I said I knew that, but it was also the date of his death. There's no pedant like a German pedant!

NanKate Thu 23-Apr-15 16:54:28

Isn't it St George's Day today as well ? A saints' day not birthday.

I trust you are all ready to send congrats to Prince or Princess Windsor. The birth is imminent, well that us what Her Maj told me. grin please ignore this question if you are not a a Royalist.

durhamjen Thu 23-Apr-15 22:12:52

It's the day St George was martyred, so not much of a celebration.

NanKate Fri 24-Apr-15 07:08:26

I never realised this Durhamjen interesting.

Pittcity Sat 25-Apr-15 08:18:07

It's DD2's birthday today. No celebration as she's got a 2 week old son, so he's getting all the attention.

It's also Anzac Day centenary.

NanKate Tue 05-May-15 07:12:51

Anyone's birthday this week ?

I wonder how Princess Charlotte is spending her first few days ?

Gagagran Tue 05-May-15 07:25:06

She's probably eating, sleeping and pooing NanKate!

NanKate Tue 05-May-15 08:02:24

Too true Gaga. I wonder if Kate has a night nurse to look after the little 'un. I would have liked one of those.
