Now we have no "Benefit" forum "News and Politics" seemed to suit this best. I've heard quite a few frightened voices on the radio and TV so I thought it might help to have a reminder of what is available.

One-off Payments that will come to you if you are eligible.
£650 Cost of Living Payment
For most people on means-tested benefits, payable in two instalments from July(£326) and in the Autumn(£324).
£400 Energy Bills Payment
All households will receive a £400 discount to help with the cost of their energy bills from October onwards.*
£300 Pensioner Cost of Living Payment
Paid with Winter Fuel Payments to all eligible pensioner households.
£150 Disability Cost of Living Payment
For those on eligible UK disability benefit, in September.
£150 Council Tax Rebate
80% of households in England are eligible. Most eligible households should have already received this.

*Most customers will see the discount applied to Electricity payments over 6 months. Those with traditional prepayment meters will receive vouchers issued via SMS text, email or post. This discount does not include those who pay for shared energy, such as in some retirement living schemes.
