80% rise in energy price cap!!!

Just that really! How will you cope? We’ve already cut back energy use as much as we can - easier in the summer. Not sure how we’ll manage through the coming winter … and beyondsad.

I really am not going to worry about it at all, I will pay what I can afford and that’s all I will pay…

I suspect a lot of us are on contracts with 12+ months to go, so it’s really just going to hit us when those contracts run out? Octopus put my monthly payment up to £250 per month - far too much, so I’ve had part refunded, still £400 in credit and reduced my payment to £150. I’ll make one-off additional payments, if I need to.
I’m sure most of us oldies have expressed good ideas to save energy, but I feel for young families and the disabled, who have to keep warm.
Friends and I were discussing this earlier and a few said their ACs who wear shorts and T-shirts all year round, in over-heated houses would be getting a wake-up call.
