...what would it be and why?

A cat, I would like to ask it about sleep.......they spend so much time apparently asleep, but are they REALLY or just as wakeful but with closed eyes.
( not the most profound conversation admittedly) grin

Elephants - I would love to know what they are thinking such gentle giants- unless crossed of course.

At the moment the parent seagulls to explain how their little offspring could find safety, as he's fallen off his chimney and tottering around on the roof. He needs to get to a flat roof. He won't survive the night if the weather forecast is wind and rain sad

Whaaaat?!!!! grin

That was in response to the OP.

What exactly do you mean by 'interact' Bags? There's a lot of interaction going on between humans and animals: a shepherd and sheepdog, for example, or and elephant and its mahout. I'm sure my cats interacted with me when they came to tell me it was their mealtime.

As in Dr. Doolittle??
Or spending time with, which in my case would be swimming with dolphins

I would LOVE to interact with my little dog Lottie and know just what she is thinking - she sometimes has such a thoughtful look on her face.

I wondered when someone would come up with that question, anno. It was my first thought too when I saw the question on Twitter. Just thought I'd chuck it out and see what transpired.

I think I'd interpret it as meaning really understand and communicate with.

thatbags Mon 27-Jun-16 18:16:43

Not that we even understand each other very well sometimes!

A reed warbler, to ask them why on earth they quite often stand by and watch as cuckoos lay eggs in their nests; and whether they actually realise that all their chicks have gone and they are feeding a monstrosity in place of them! I know the scientific answers to this question, but I'd just like to know how they actually feel about it! And a trout, to know why, when you have tried every imitative marvel of modern fly tying in your box, a trout will take a bit of chamois leather that looks like nothing at all, tied haphazardly onto your hook. Beats me!

Orangutan
(would have to be in Borneo. In a zoo he/she would probabley just say 'get me out of here'!)

My 2 ginger pussys are shouting for their tea at this very moment. grin

grannylyn65 Mon 27-Jun-16 19:32:47

Oh me too Cherry, am kind of obsessed with Orangutans atm ! ( I have no life!! )

Indinana Mon 27-Jun-16 20:50:21

A horse - I'd like to ask them if they really enjoy racing around tracks with someone on their back cracking a whip angry, or if they'd much prefer living in a field somewhere doing what they like. But then again, I suppose no-one gets a free pass in life - we all have to earn our keep.

whitewave Mon 27-Jun-16 20:54:07

My baby seagull is safely on his flat roof with Mum in attendance whew!

I shall go back to interacting with my dog, largely yelling at him to get off the garden and him clearly not understanding human.

vampirequeen Tue 28-Jun-16 17:43:00

A cat. I'd like to know if they truly hold humans in as much distain as they seem to.

ffinnochio Tue 28-Jun-16 18:00:21

A Loon. Be great to swim along side one.
