What scales would you recommend?

I'm in the market for a new pair of 'bathroom' scales, to weigh myself and DH, but I prefer to do this in the bedroom.
Some electronic scales are grossly inaccurate if used on a carpet, some are just grossly inaccurate anyway.
So looking for your recommendations for scales that are accurate on carpet please.

Obviously not many GNetters need to weigh themselves due to their 'racing snake' physique or no one has a reliable pairs of scales either grin

My scales are Salter Ultimate Accuracy, but I don't use them on carpets.

In the past I have used a chopping board to stand the scales on to ensure an even surface.

I wasn't joking! It was a very nice chopping board and the pattern on it toned with the carpet...tchwink

Oh speaking ones! They would say sweetly "Looking good Alea , do the jeans still fit? Then never mind the numbers, have another coffee and *don't stress*"
They would also point out the life expectancy of a woman who is a little overweight, is still longer than that of a man who points it out.

Mine are erratic. I usually weigh myself after a loo visit, to get the lowest reading I can, but recently I had the bright idea of weighing myself both before and after to see what difference it made. Result - I was a pound HEAVIER. So I then decided to have a shower and try again - Result - now TWO POUNDS heavier. Maybe I should give up pooing and showers?

I thought it was just me that that happened to,Elegran blush!
I have Weightwatchers electronic scales and use them on the hard floor of the bathroom, although when I kept the scales in the bedroom, I used to slide them out from under the wardrobe on an old tea-tray! That worked well. I even seemed to lose weight then...hmm
After having been on a carefully calorie controlled diet for a week, I weighed myself last Thursday, and found myself to be 2 pounds heavier shock
No more weighing, just letting the fit of my clothes guide me, now!
