Lots of leftovers eg gammon, cheese, cream - so made a paste of dry mustard powder, dash of Smoked Paprica and the ever faithful Worcestershire Sauce (Lee and Perrins) then into a small saucepan put grated cheese with cream added paste then cut cooked gammon into strips and for want of a better word marinaded them with pink peppercorns and dried chilli peppers - I know I shouldn`t say it but I will it was delicious just needed to share I`ll just have another wine

It sounds fab Sparkygran I could do justice to a portion of that meal + plus a nice glass of Merlot. I'll bring the pud. smile

Sounds delicious Sparkygran!
I make a sauce for fish - bake fillets, covered, with some orange juice, chopped parsley s&p and finely chopped onion.
When fish is cooked use the fluid to make a sauce thickened with butter/flour paste.

I like the sound of that sauce TriciaF think I`ll try it. As for pink peppercorns NanKate readily available in Tesco`s just little whole peppercorns that - guess what - pink
