I was updating my profile (while wondering whether to go 'public' again) and I got to thinking. Why is there an option to enter our age? Many people don't update their profile regularly, if at all, with the result that the age they entered when they joined GN remains their age for eternity. Wouldn't it be more sensible for that field to be changed to 'Year of Birth'?
No-one is obliged to reveal their age/year of birth, but for those who choose to do so, isn't it a bit pointless in its present format?

Other sites do change your age year by year. GN does seem to be a bit behind the times with things like that

Same applies if you choose to put the ages of your grandchildren
