Driving through town todwy I saw women in t shirts, floaty skirts snd flip flop a couple of girls in denim shorts and ugg boots, lots of cut-?offs/capri pants, the inevitable cardis and some who had clearly decided to move into their winter wardrobe, flannel/wool skirts, black opaque tights and even one wool coat?
But what do you wear when it is "officially" Autumn, quite chilly first thing but now the temperature is 23 degrees?

Layers. Thinner ones in summer, thicker ones in winter, bit of both for the in between seasons.

Today I walked to the pool in t-shirt, shorts and flip-flops it was really warm even at 9am.
But I saw lots of people in coats and trousers..

I go for comfort layers. Haven't worn a coat yet. Still bare feet with pumps. Always trousers of some sort. Today it's Fitflops and palazzo pants.

I've been wearing a jumper to work and taking a t-shirt with me to change into at lunchtime for the past week or two!

I have put the very thin summer frocks away and am left with the jersey ones with cardies. Just starting changing my linen trousers for jeans but have been too hot. Cut off for golf have given way to chinos which give way to Cords when it gets colder and the rest is layers. Bought some lovely White Stuff skirts and jumpers but it needs to be quite a bit colder before they get worn.

Layers and a big bag to carry them in!! Took cotton mac with me yesterday and carried it all day!
Forecast is for wet and windy by the end of the week sad

Have shed the summery things. Here in the frozen north temperatures have only managed the high teens this week. I desperately need some new winter clothes. Looked at my cords to discover that they are wearing very thin on the behind!!

I took a suitcase full of layers to Scotland at the weekend. I never needed my quilted jacket or my cagoule - regretted leaving my lightweight trousers at home. My many sandals have all gone into winter storage and for the first time in months I am reluctantly wearing socks.

Still in summer clothes today in SW Scotland. It was baking! X

I've had OH bring down the suitcase from the loft with my boots in so they can be polished up again but will put off wearing them as long as possible, still wearing my linen jacket with jeans or leggings and ballet pumps or sandles I must also get my big scarve's washed and pressed as they are vital part of winter accessories.

I've done a part change over of summer/winter clothes - white trousers and linen tops packed away and cardis and medium weight trousers in the wardrobe, leaving the wool and tweedy ones for when it gets really cold. It was a good opportunity to clear out some more stuff for the chaarity shop and remind myself of what I actually have! Quite looking forward to wearing my boots again smile

Boots and winter weight duvet out of the loft tomorrow.
I think boots do balance the leggings/jeggings nicely. I have a black pair that were expensive from Clarks, and a tan pair out of Asda last year. Both flat. Don't do heels any more.

Oh dear
.....got a bit confused between the leggings thread and the boots thread.
An edit option would be brilliant.
