As a single person [I do have a grandniece who is a cutey pie ]I don't like the word Gransnet as feel it is not all encompassing & we should be respected for our individauality as people not to focus on our age often causing the most concern. I suppose this is nit picking but I still feel mentally I am in my 30s ??!! Silver surfer is more fun.

We share criminal tendencies Marelli! grin Those two are the same as mine, but my third is reckless arson (holding a bunsen burner by a table leg in school as a teenager). The head told me I was lucky I didn't set the physics block on fire and did I know you can get life for arson?!

Marelli Wed 23-Jan-13 12:01:51

shockgrin!

when I have to confess to three of those so join you both in the dock
I left Tesco without paying for toilet rolls which were hung on the hook on the trolley.
I took paperclips from my employer.
I drove without insurance when I was 17 and 3 days, license applied for and DH said on a quiet country road go on have a go (in his Dads car) you never see another car down here, so I got into the driving seat went 10 yards and around the corner came a police car and I drove into the ditch, I had points on my license before it was even delivered grin

Can own up to giving E 's father a b****y good hiding and a taste of of his own medicine...and kicking his front door, and trashing his car in a fit of motherly fury, quite unlike my normally gentle self,a blind eye was turned by the authorities when he reported it.....blush

I stole OH's chips last night when he wasn't looking..

soop Wed 23-Jan-13 12:21:02

Now we have established that criminals are welcome on Gransnet, too, let's accept that this is a very open place to join in with good chat, entertainment and discussion. smile

Can I confess to eating all the GCs 'rewards for using the potty' chocolate buttons?

soop Wed 23-Jan-13 13:46:01

Yep! I popped a few of the Smartie "rewards" into my mouth during the potty-training period. Needed to replace the tube in order to cover my sin of gluttony. blush

Ariadne Wed 23-Jan-13 13:52:42

Oooh, there are chocolate buttons at the back of the fridge - see you later!

soop Wed 23-Jan-13 14:00:21

Tyke! grin

Elegran Wed 23-Jan-13 14:07:26

Are the chocolate buttons in tubes? because the charity I used to be with had a good money-making wheeze (still do).

The drill is - you buy a tube of smarties, eat them, and then put your loose change into the tube, which you hand over to them when it is full. As they also buy the smarties wholesale from the cash & carry to sell to you, they make a bit more profit there.

So you can eat smarties AND help a charity. That helps the conscience no end.

Elegran Wed 23-Jan-13 14:08:22

For chocolate buttons read Smarties. Choc buttons come in bags, not tubes.

Smoluski Wed 23-Jan-13 14:10:55

No chocolate in the house sad

Kali Wed 23-Jan-13 14:11:58

There speaks one who knows Elegran!

annodomini Wed 23-Jan-13 14:57:00

I finished the chocolate on Monday and managed to discipline myself not to buy some more today. grin

Ariadne Wed 23-Jan-13 14:58:51

I expect someone else ate it, of course, smol????

numberplease Wed 23-Jan-13 15:36:13

I used to work in a factory canteen, and a couple of times I had my dinner without paying for it, please don`t report me, I`m too old to go to jail.
