Some of you already know about my reclusive and stressful neighbours.
Yesterday I met him unexpectedly on the doorstep - and he said 'See you in court.' I just looked at him, and he repeated it, and quickly shut the door.

What the hell???
Yes, I've continued to badger the council about their jungle of a garden and overgrown house.
Yes I have taken photos of the mess.
Yes they may recently have had letters from the council about actually dealing with the problem.

.........but....?
Was he just trying to scare me? He has certainly worried me.

Also interesting, anno!

And maybe I could sue him, via the Small Claims Court, for the cost of repairing my gutter?

Alie I am sure you could. CAB could advise.

Hope that helps. You can get forms and info from HMCS (courts) web site.

Thanks anno, will study this.

The councillor I am in touch with has said this to the council dept:
"Please can you tell me if a date has been set for the contractors to start work on 16 Glebe Road? I am getting concerned with the change in the weather that winter is setting in and it may not be possible to do it this year.
Although Ms Moyra is the neighbour most affected it does impact on the neighbourhood as a whole and other people have raised it with my town council colleagues."

The answer?
"The case is currently still with our legal team, who are somewhat under pressure at the moment due to staff absences, they are aware of the urgence of this case and area dealing with it as soon as they can. Once we have the go ahead from legal I will update you further."

What I am thinking of doing at the moment is trying to get some of my neighbours to write to councillors and push it a bit! Preferably other councillors. Someone may have contacted her colleagues....but I did tell her other people are complaining.....

Not sleeping well and feeling thoroughly ill this morning. Colitis flareups - as anyone here with this condition will know - mean more gut upset, a temperature because of the inflammation, and no energy!

However I do (I hope) have a builder friend of my daughter coming on Saturday to have a look at he problem on my side.
