Off tomorrow for 4 days to Sussex - we are in charge of our 1 and 3 year old grandsons. To be honest they will be a dream in comparison with us rowdy lot on the barge.

Disgusting! Disgraceful! How dare they! Appalling conduct! They should know better at their age! To terminate the cruise before I'd had a chance join it, I mean! There I was, waiting on the bank with my grappling irons at the ready, in my best bib and tucker, and ready to do the hornpipe. But my only companions were a passing ferret and a load of empty beer cans floating down the river. Fortunately a passing charabang full of reformed incontinent trapeze artists off to the coast on a celebratory binge picked me up. From that point on memory fades....

I should hope so!
